Those 2 pictures look like 2 completely different coins.... I see marks on the coin in this picture that I am not seeing any trace of in the other pictures not to mention I don't see any gouges in the plastic either. Without the marks being on the coin I would say it was graded correctly, but I'm still not convinced. Can you get a shot of the marks in the plastic where we can tell they are in the plastic?
There's no reason to take it out of the slab Jello has the coin in hand and if you don't believe him that's a shame that goe's for Dutchmen too Unbelievable to say somebodys fibbing. JC
To not believe the op when he says that the slab is scratched your ego is out of line, you are calling him a fibber. JC end of story like jello said
I just agreed with a statement that I found it hard to believe that the scratches posted weren't on the coin. And the closeup doesn't do anything for me. So before you go trashing someone you might want to make sure you read the topic first. I wasn't the first one that said something about it, it was Doug. yet you pick me out.... It seems like you have a personal vendetta against me Jazzy... good for you... but this isn't the place for it. I'm a skeptic, always have been... That's all that's going on here.
But why can't you believe Jello when he says it's on the slab that's what i don't understand could you answer that question or is it a trick question for you ? I read the topic and i know Doug made the statement ,but Doug doesn't prolong or elaborate on something like you do on the issue. He probably realizes that the op is telling the truth .but you are just a persistent individual I experienced this with you already I don't have anything against you it's just in your nature why you are like that . Just believe Jello and end this ridiculous waste of time. I will not answer this post again End of my story JC
Well sorry, but I still don't believe those marks are on the holder. He wants to say they are - I'm OK with that.
What makes you think that he is fibbing what wouild he gain from it does it make sense ,the coin came back slabbed at that grade and I'm pretty sure the graders would have seen those marks if they were on the eyebrow they would have been very obvious, and would have lowered the grade down to probably MS62 if they were there. JC
I have no idea why he would want to say anything - either way. I only know what I believe based on what my eyes see. As for the graders, do you think this is the first time that PCGS would have made such a mistake ? Do you think they don't make such mistakes ? All I can say is that I have seen them make such mistakes, many times. And that's the thing, you, me and a dozen others may say there is no way a coin with marks like those shown on the picture could ever grade MS64. That's is our opinion. But trust me, PCGS also has THEIR opinion. And quite often, it is different than ours.
This is one of many from PCGS I have seen... If they can miss this couldn't they miss a couple of little marks?? I sure think so.
The marks that are on jello's slab are pretty huge marks I had some proof sets that were cracked with large marks on the surface of the plastic and they look similar to Jello's and I will say it one more time I believe what jello is saying that they are on the slab and you still are persisdent .I don't care if you are anymore ,because I trust the Op's word it sad that you don't case closed. Examine the marks again from a distance JC
........i guess know one is allowed to disagree with someone else's graded coin without being ridiculed. GIVE ME A BREAK!! i'm not caving on my opinion for ANYONE! GOD BLESS AMERICA!! the end, AGAIN!
