Here is a neat little piece I picked up for $2. IN the center of obverse (First) picture you can see the orb and flames. You can also see the same picture on the reverse. I am not sure its a strike thru error just a guess. I know there are several here that live in errors and would know so any information if appreciated. Are these worth grading?
I am not familiar with Asian coins but I was able to read "COPPER COIN" from the picture. There is also a dragon on the front which you probably saw, dragons were used in Imperial China and other parts of Asia. I dont think its an error, just worn. I found a CoinWeek article about it. Its a Chinese Imperial 10 Cash. https://coinweek.com/auctions-news/dragon-hunan-10-cash-honk-kong-auction/
Well i know Chinese coins very well. This is a common 1907 Empire 10 cash. Im guessing the error was just overlooked.
Matthew, Yes, I know the date and type of coin. I asked about the strike thru. I dont believe its wear. The design on reverse is exact as the obverse.
Interesting. I see what you mean about a possible minor die clash, but the image appears to be recessed, not raised. Even if it's a clash, I really won't add any extra value because it's minor
