I would appreciate some assistance in accurately identifying everything going on, on this cent. Seems like a lot to me, but that could be due to lack of experience. Thank you.
I am not an error collector, but those are some of the more interesting and curious pieces to me. I was educated on them here on CoinTalk. I do not follow the mechanics, but have seen them posted here where the lettering appears to be climbing the rims. @furryfrog02 is your man, he is dead right and I think it is a rather cool find.
FWIW, they are incredibly common if you really get into searching cents. ESPECIALLY in the early/mid 80's coins. This would be a good example for you to keep as a reference but I wouldn't recommend holding on to all of them lol.
I’ve done that. When you’re ready to put it back into circulation, that’s when you know you’ve learned.
hey PennyRich yea i got to go with the guys above me regarding the coin. The 1st picture wasn't really good at all but the other 2, pictures of the entire coin were really great. next time upload obverse and reverse images that are cropped to take as much of the background out of the picture. good luck next time man,,,,,
Can I recommend a solution to taking good Pics , try using a program called LunaPic ( FREE, No download ) OR PhotoScape ( Download / Free ) .
I read on this forum a few weeks back somewhere on another thread that the ridge appearing under the "In God We Trust" is almost a hallmark of the issues relating to zinc pennies.
It's nice when we learn from one another, isn't it. Enjoyed you're post and the many fine answers. Good luck
