I saw my mothers purse lying there on our counter wide open, so Just to see if she had any oldies in there, sure enough I pulled out a 1910 wheatie,a 1944 wheatie,a 1919 wheatie, and a 1940 wheatie. I showed them to here but before that I paid here back 4 cents and asked here why she had so many wheats. She said she never did check here change!!! Looked further into her purse (While here back was turned of course) and saw a 1960 Silver Roosevelt Dime. I thought "Hye maybe I should check the bills!!" I picked out a 1957 George Washington $1 Dollar Bill. I told here If she finds any weird looking coins in her change to give me a holler. Can't wait for here to call me later!!:hail:. Thanks for looking! --Austin
You know... It's nice to see that I'm not the only person here checking people's pocket change. It's gotten to the point that I cringe every time I walk past someone who is feeding coins into one of those counting machines. I just want to walk up, slap them, and go through their coins for treasures. BTW... if you need wheaties, PM me. I have a ton of them. I may be able to help you fill some spots.
I guess it would be better to ask for a look through the coins. would show a little respect for other peoples property.. even if it is your mum.
Well I would guess people ,in these tough economic times, are just buying stuff with there good coins. My dad got a 1959 Indian Penny at our local gas station to buy a bag of Doritos!!
