Just wanted to share photos of the set in the event you wanted to see how they looked. This year my President coins look much better than last years. Last year they were very spotty and toned slightly. I was disappointed last year and this year all of the coins look great! May be the closest I get to some of the 09 coins. Besides the cents I have not found any in circulation.

    $52.95 + shipping= $57.90

At least that's what I had to pay

I like the quarter and half sets - could do without the cents and dollars.

    Thanks Mark

I agree about the dollars but think the cents look really nice in hand. The quarters are really sharp designs. Most of my nicer coins are either Halves or Nickels so of course I like those :D

Good Luck! If they are as nice you will not be disappointed by the price. Please let us know how you make out.

They do look very good. I ordered the set myself. It seems with my luck in the past that I'm a solid month behind the first recipients so I'll have to grin and bear it for a while but looking at your set the wait will be worth it.

Both the subsription order and a second order that I placed came in just fine. Very satisfied with what I have received. :)

Any DDR's on those Formulative Years Lincolns?

I found this one in my sets:

Yeah I'm waiting for my set to arrive any day now. :headbang: Your set looks great and gives me plenty of hope that I will end up with a good set as well. :D

I am torn with these issues, Darryl. It just gives me a bad feeling. In the past I have bought multiples of the Mint sets, Proof Sets and Silver Proof Sets and a few years (1999, 2001, 2004) it has paid off very nicely, but this year I am getting the feeling that the speculators are going to order far more sets than the market is going to be able to absorb for many years therefore keeping the values down for a long time.

The only 2 things that make me hopeful about these coins is the fact that on occasion, the Mint has ended sales on specific sets abruptly and suddenly and those sets have made impressive gains and the price is keeping many buyers out thereby keeping the mintages low.

So I buy a few of each but I do so wincing thinking that it may be a long time before I can see my money again.

  17. Very nice. I am planning on ordering it next week. It will be my first ever proof set. I am regretting not ordering last year's, too. I should have as it was my first year collecting coins. Dumb!

Glad you got lucky with your set, I just got 5 in the mail today and I think I am going to send 4 of them back...:( Wanted to get some opinions before I do...

The silver coins all looked great, very nice coins, but the pennies and $1 coins have several issues with 1 or more coins in each... Bad spotting on several, one has a big mark on it and there is a big thumbprint on one of the pennies. Here is a pick of the worst in the bunch, looks like William Henry Harrison blew chunks on himself...

Everything else I have gotten was OK, this is the first time I got crap... Just need to take advantage of the return policy and hope the new ones come out better.
I guess my question would be is it worth sending them back with the possibly getting lousy silver coins back? I am no pro but they are all very nice and frosty... thoughts?
