Are coin shows coming back?

I think we said the same thing really. People that ARE taking time off are likely also using it as a vacation in a nice place excuse.

    Spring summer fall.

Wow....I guess most of the dealers going to 2 or 3 of them are within driving distance...can't see many people flying from California or Washington State more than once.

The Fall one is the biggie, right ?

Hmm, I'll have to put this on the calendar. I was hoping to take in the Fargo coin show next weekend but see that they canceled that one.

How many tables at this show in Aberdeen?

I have a subscription to Coin World and although the Events Calendar has less than half as many shows as normal listed, there are still 23 advertised.
And of that group 17 are either February or March.
So there is still life out there.

I get my second COVID shot in mid-March (that's one benefit of being over 75).
So if all goes well I'll feel personally secure starting in April.
I'll still have to wear the mask but I've learned to put up with it.

I got my 2nd shot last Friday. Some mild side effects and that was it.

We have a coin show once a month in my area. True, it's not that big, maybe 20 -30 dealers show up, but at least it's something.

I had to look, I see a local show Feb. 28th in Trevose, PA.
    It's a small local show.
Plus I get my second dose of C-19 stuff next week.

The wife and I are not going to be able to make this one. I'm now hoping to attend the one in Sioux Falls at the end of March.

ONA in April will be around 100--come meet me if you're in the area; the TNA (In June this year) is usually about twice that.

Thanks....unfortunately, being in the NYC area, I won't....but please report back.

I hope to attend the Parsippany NJ (Garden State Coin Show) show in the next few months. The Mt. Kisco Show which was new in late-2019 and early-2020 (gaining on the Westchester County Show, which is fading) is another up-and-comer.

After that, my next "biggie" is probably going to be Whitman Baltimore in November.

In the UK the London Coin Fair is pencilled in for 3rd July, by which time I think all the population will have been vaccinated. However things change rapidly, so we'll see whether it does actually go ahead.

I'm a board governor of the ANA and also on the conventions committee. I fought hard to cancel the WFOM and the National Money Show during the height of the pandemic. The WFOM this year in Rosemont, IL is another story. With the vaccine being likely to help bring down the numbers significantly we are planning with full board support to have the convention. If the show is cancelled we will do it a few months in advance to let people know. It will be dependent upon the policy for Illinois of course but it is looking good. I am cautiously optimistic. We will also be practicing common sense approaches too safety as well. So for the moment.....ANA Rosemont is ON.

I get my second Moderna shot next Thursday. Other than a brief period of feeling homicidal the first shot (vaccine, not gun) went well.
