1st Lincoln copper proofs a bargin!!!!!!!!!!!

    One other thing and after this I will be signing off.

    Those dealers offering the 4-Lincoln all copper proofs for $15.99 is a bargin. I noticed one of the dealers already went up to $19.99 - if you can get just the 4 in the proof plastic case I think they are a steel for under $20! JMO of course.

    The only Steel Pennies I know of are the 1943 Steel Wheat Back Penny

    can't you get the entire proof set for around $40? Why get just the zincolns?

    I don't think the lincolns in the proof set are plated, pretty sure they are 95% copper.

    I was under the impression that they were bronze.

    .......i believe the term bronze is being used to mean the same as copper.

    You can get the 4 Lincoln copper proofs in the 2009 proof set from the mint for $29.95. Its a total of 18 coins. Dealers selling the 4 lincolns for $20 are making a very nice profit.

    The S proofs are original composition, the circ and roll coins are Zincolns

    We never know will the Mint come out with a special cent Set( all the pennies zinc and copper mint & proof)???
