Nice find nothing like finding some good cherry picks.

Just out of curiosity, what do you use to stabilize your camera? The coin is a tad out of focus.

This coin is so small I had to do handheld, and my camera doesn't like copper or night time! I'll try a lower perch to stabilize and see if I can get some better pictures.

I don't have a phone/camera, but others here have suggested placing the phone on a can of soup or something similar to eliminate "camera shake". Also, I suggest that you crop out all of the unnecessary background leaving just the coin and then resizing the image before you post it. I hope this helps.

Use the self portrait timer as well so you are not touching the camera/phone when the shutter snaps. Almost impossible to get good macro photos with camera in hand, unless you get shutter speeds up high then you lose details.

This is what I've been using for a set up, it works well with silver, not so much copper. I'll try again in daylight with the timer.

For copper and darker coins, experiment with different. solid color backgrounds and lighting positions. There is no reason why any phone cannot take in focus shots. You need to play with the distance the coin is from the aperture

    Getting better hopefully:

The coin is the same diameter as a US three cent silver. How in the world did the engraver manage the Obverse details?
