I had my Walking Liberty collection out and, thinking about recent conversations about finding coins in circulation, I thought I would show my best WLH circulation find. Sometime in the late 40's or early 50's this 1942 P showed up.

I love it and can't wait to have my own memories like this.

Get those memories and share them - with us and any children you may have. Sometimes I think my family gets bored with my excess information about my collection and how I acquired some things. When they inherit these I hope they remember and don't put them in the slot machines.

That's a sweet looking coin. Looks like it was just minted yesterday.

I always treated them like babies. I still do.

I wonder how many of us wished that time machines were real.

Beautiful coin. It’s hard to come across a WLH anywhere without any signs of wear nowadays.

nice coin now I wish I was 80 years old imagine finding a 1916 D in circulation and still have it that 10 cents just turned into 3,000-4,000 more now.

I had a similar find in the early 50's when I got a Twenty Cent piece in change. The vendor owed me 25 cents change and gave me a Twenty Cent. My Mother let me keep it. They have gone up in value considerably since then.

This one is definitely circulated just giving how I acquired it. There were a lot of very nice coins in circulation back then.

JeffC Go explore something and think a happy thought!

If you still have it, would love to see it. (I had to Google it just now to see what it looks like.)
