I’m looking to switch my collection from cardboard 2x2s to flips and got these from my LCS. Will these be okay?
Not necessarily, comparing them I ordered the cheapest on Amazon and there much more rigid but maybe a little less then some I’ve received from other collectors. Then again I don’t know if that’s true or I’m just scared.
Get those saflip ones, I tried to get some but the prices they are at over here in the uk are crazy. Some shops/people wanting £20 a pack
Unisafe are OK against PVC, they are stiff , and they can crack at the folds after years of environment. I have some about 20yo and they are OK because stored in the house and not garage. Didn't know they were still made. Jim
I agree with potty dollar. The feel test - rub between thumb and finger - usually tells you everything. Greasy, sticky, bendy = bad. Hard, rigid, crisp = good. I keep some of my old (bad) PVC flips to store labels, tags, etc. in, but not coins. SC
