Obv. J.L. BODE BIRDSTUFFER Deer Head Mounted 1863 Rev. BOHEMIAN FANCY GLASSWORK 16 N. WILLIAMS St. N.Y. All copper token
That's a very cool token. So, they offered taxidermy and fancy glasswork in the same store? That seems like an odd mix of businesses to offer.
What? You've never heard or seen a Jackalope? You gotta go west Paddy. Lol There are 2 varieties: The standard kind And the winged kind. Unfortunately they can't fly.
My first wife and I were in Yellowstone National Park walking on one of the many boardwalks do you see the geysers. Just off to the side of the boardwalk I saw a rabbit droppings. I couldn't help myself so I looked at her and pointed at them and said something to the effect of "Jackalope droppings". There was another couple behind us and they believed every word of it. We had to let them pass us just so we could laugh. It was hilarious. I saw the extremely rare one in a gift shop. It had the antlers and the rear end was part pheasant.
I really like the Bode tokens. Here is a good thread about those and Mr. Bode himself. My example is posted about halfway down the thread. https://forums.collectors.com/discu...ffer-struck-on-an-1861-seated-liberty-quarter
