Thank you... I had it as RIC VII 289.
My eyes are still having trouble with that legend (even with the coin in hand now)

I bought that coin in 1998 from a dealer named Reid but have no recollection of that dealer or the circumstances. That probably means it came out of a pick-box at a show. I reused the number (1632) in 2016 so I know I deaccessioned it by that time. That was about the time I sold a number of coins thru the John Anthony sales here on CT but I do not recall which of his many sales it was in. rx5940bb1632.jpg

Possible clogged die on the reverse at top of standards. I wonder if there are other examples from this die out there. I checked mine but nothing. Long shot but it would be very cool to find.

Thanks for confirming this used to be one of yours. I think I did buy it from @John Anthony now that you mention it.

    Nice one!

I recently added this one to my collection
Constantine II Caesar GLORIA EXERCITVS SMNB.jpg

It wasn't until I began to actually organize my collection that I came to a realization that I didn't have any coins of Constantine II as Augustus. So I looked for one and came to the conclusion - they are hard to find!
