In a way, I agree. But, then again, since I'm a poor person, I can absolutely relate to a $40 bounced check causing problems. Sometimes I sturggle to keep a dollar in my account.
They must teach you that only the banks, not the customers, are allowed to create money out of thin air and that the customer, not the banks, are required to practice honest, auditable accounting practices. But, I digress. Now, back to the thread...
I listened to each and everyones replies here, and while some may have been a tad harsh, I believe they were well meant. Well today is now day 21........no contact from him.
Good morning Tom. I went looking on the other large forums and Ebay for someone with the same user name. There is one on Ebay but I don't think the account has ever been used. It would be cool if everyone looked on the forums they use to see if harkenkc is a member and if he has been active there.
And then do what? If you google "harkenkc" you get a few hits. Shall we join those forums and tell that he bounced a check?
yes it would paul. I want to believe that this situation was a just an error, he overlooked, but as time goes on, without even a word from him, it's getting less believable that is the case. Any way, I am off to my medical review this morning. Have a great day.
No. Please don't do that. Just look for when the guy was last active on the site. I'm thinking he logged in here last on the 7th.
Folks: I have read a number of posts that stated that the seller, coinman0456, should have done this, or that or whatever, prior to posting here. Let us remember, he acted in good faith, by sending the coin. The buyer was the one who acted in bad faith, by cheating him. Not the other way around. Whatever else you may think or believe, he was under no obligation other than to: 1) send the coin-- which he did; 2) use reasonable judgement that it was not a fake (which I assume); 3) collect his payment, which he attempted. It is not his obligation to turn over each & every rock to try to collect for his goods. The buyer also had an obligation, and defaulted. so, Coinman is not the guilty party here. lets remember that, and not cast stones in the wrong direction.
I appreciate those statements Frank. I think everyone that commented, is now onboard with that reason. P.S. Not that it matters, but the Item was a Mason Book Of Legenda. Written in 1900 Thank you, Tom
I want to take a moment in this thread, to specifically highlight the character of some CT members, which I won't name, but whom I have come to have a very high regard of. The individual after hearing of this story and the impact it had on my financial situation, had offered to loan me money, until I get this mess cleared up. That"s, Trust, thats honorable and speaks highly of his character. Fortunately I have been able to bring my account current, without that assistance, but if really needed, I would not hesitate to humble myself to accept help. You know who you are, and I say, Thank you! P.S. my mail just arrived. Day 22...NO WORD FROM BUYER. harkenkc.
harkenkc what I suggest and appreciate, if anyone locates any links for this guy, please do post them in this thread. Thanks a bunch TOM.
