I am unable to find anything on a variety that's even close to this. Could be it's not a ddr, but it does look similar to discoveries on other Lincoln's. It would be nuts if it's for real since I came across a different possible new discovery yesterday.
Christopher Columbus, that's a pretty coin, but it's not the New World. In a manner of speaking, that is to say...
All I see are the atoms that make up the copper plating.. If you need that much magnification it's not worth it IMHO
Thanks, but it does not require as much magnification as shown (otherwise I would have never seen it). Please see:
This looks to be “extra steps”, and, you are right, this is seen on other date reverses. Wexler lists one ddo and one ddr for 1986-D...VV lists none. You could try sending it to John Wexler for confirmation and inclusion in his files...imo...Spark
Dang! I just threw it into the "big pile" so I hope I can find it again. I thought it looked like extra steps also, but based on previous feedback it sounded like it was not. My being a novice does not help. Also, I just sent an email to John regarding a 1963 D that looks like it could be a new variety. Strange how this works. I've been searching this sack of coins for weeks now and to have 2 possible hits within a day is nuts! Will I seem like a pest sending emails on two different coins so near to each other?
Strike while the iron is hot. As long as you have done your own due diligence you won’t be seen as a pest...imo...Spark
