Alexander the Great III, but I can't find another sample like this one with a Helmet on the Reverse. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Is it me, or is there what looks to be a seam running around the edge of the coin? That coupled with the bubbly look on the surfaces make me think this isn't legit. That being said, I know next to nothing about Alexendar II Tets. Some others who know much more will be along shortly, I'm sure. EDIT: Looks similar to this: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/fakes/displayimage.php?album=search&cat=0&pos=23
I think you're right. I shouldn't be able to scratch the surface off either, right? To good to be true. Found it inside a purse i purchased at a garage sale. Thank you so much for responding, I really do appreciate it.
I agree on the seam and appearance, appears to be a cast modern copy. As for the link, when I click on it, I can't see anything, it comes up with "No Image to display"
