I agree with the response that it won't go lower than AU58, and based on my experience, I can see PCGS calling it MS62, which is what they called my AU58 1931-S.
Dating back to kindergarten, I'm like 0-30 in fights, Eddie. Two of those losses were in the 3rd grade to this skinny little gal with long red hair. I've since learned to totally avoid physical confrontations.....at all cost. I've never told the wifey this, as she'd take full advantage.
very nice wheat back....im going to grade in AU58. the dings on the obverse under Lincoln will keep it from hitting MS. great pictures aswell A++ good luck
Where’s the wear on it? If there’s no wear, it’s MS. If it’s MS, it goes flying right by 60 to 63, as those have way, way more chatter going on than this handsome boy. I was initially pickled between 64 and 65 until I eyeballed harder. Again, to sum up, “the book” wants to see wear for circulated. It’s axiomatic. Enough said.
The OP did not ask for this ego feeding frenzy on grade. The possible value? From the Blue Book for AU50 is $2, MS63 is $8. Red Book shows $4 and $18. Whatever the grade, it is a sweet coin and a very nice find.
This site should have a Turn Off Comments Option. I appreciate everyone's input, but keep in mind, this is a only a penny! Just saying!
hey Sley i get what your saying here but you got to remember a lot of these guys posting eat, sleep and breathe coins and currency so when a member is asking a question or asking for their opinion or help with something everyone of us are gonna post their best to help you or me out, even if its just a penny. i thinks one reason why so many people say this site is great because its where a brand new member can ask for help on a coin and so many members, long term members, supporters and more give their best. don't get me wrong im not getting upset or trying to make you look bad, i would never do that to any fellow member, im just posting what i think about it........good luck brother
Just pulling your leg, meteorologist. But really, that's what I thought it said at first. Sick, I know. It really is a lot of snow here, though, so I'm staying close to the barn (I've a heated one), as well as cutting down on the sleigh rides.
