Not forever. Big heavy equipment can carry big heavy batteries, and electric motors are always more reliable than internal-combustion engines. Internal combustion is such a terrible idea on so many levels, it's astonishing that it's maintained more than a century of dominance.

Very slim pickings CRH for Meow. Looks like 2020 W quarters were NOT distibuted in Meow's area. Meow did find two clad proofs in one roll today.

One proof has a much smaller S than he other. Is that significant in any way?

But Meow lives by V8 power.

But they consume a lot of money for maintenance and fuel that could instead be building the Cat Hoard!

I'm sure V8s won't disappear. After all, when gas and diesel vehicles arrived, horses didn't disappear. But it was sure nice to have cleaner, less smelly, and less fly-infested streets.

For the 2020 quarters and 2021 dimes, am I seeing things, or are the rims on those coins almost squared off like with proofs? I used to be able to pick proofs out just by looking at the edge, and now I can't because it seems like they've been minting the coins with a higher force, causing the rims to seem squared off.

That is because they are proofs

Those are not 2020 and 2021 coins. I assumed the question was about common circulating coins that aren't pictured.

I'm not sure, but I started noticing something similar with nickels a few years back. I don't remember which year it was, but I noticed that all the new nickels I was getting had a sharp rim. I haven't noticed it lately, but I don't know if it's stopped, or if I've just stopped noticing.

I went to the bank and found one 1965 in two rolls of halves and asked for quarters I wanted to look for W mint coin as I haven’t done that yet and see you guys searching them and thought I’d try. I was surprised when I got five rolls of 2003 D Missouri quarter rolls stamped by post office.

Now what do I do with these quarters?

Meow saves all Heads/tails BU rolls for the Cat hoard. Meow would just add them all anyway. Meow got 2017 Missouri ATBs rolls a few months ago and saved them to the Cat Hoard. Can get a bit expensive to save them, but what is a hoarding Cat to do?

Pulled another 19 Tall Grass Prairie "W"s from today's boxes. Brings the total of TGP "W"s up to 85.

Once this year's coins come out, I may stop quarters and go back to nickels. Or just add more cents. I've found enough "W"s to fund my ancient coin purchases for the rest of the year which is nice.
