Looks like 2 different dimes , One is a 1996 and the other a 1999 . From what I can see , the 1999 is considered Physical Damage or Post Mint Damage (PMD) .
hey Rayrayford2 both dimes are PMD (post mint damage.) the 1st dime looks to be either a 1998 or most likely a 1999. good luck man
Best advice I can give you, Ray? There are no brass rings forthcoming anytime soon for damage or for that matter any "Wexler File" varieties. Think of the former as an area where it pays in terms of time and effort saved to be realistic, meaning, if it looks like it was run over by a car, it probably was, learn that. And on the latter, you collect those for the sport of it. Trust me when I tell you there's no money in this game unless you want to try to make a living off it. Get your hopes down for that brass ring and your enthusiasm up for collecting and you'll be happy here. And that's just good advice I'm giving you straight away. You can take it, or let it alone.
Well sir I thank you for the advice and I will take it. But I do enjoy the hunt. I bought a top of the line metal detector a long time ago and was very enthusiastic about finding lost bullion or Civil War artifacts. That was until the Game Wardens came up and told me to stop digging holes in the ground in thier National Parks and explained the penalties.
