Wow Jack, a sale w/in 30 minutes of me bumping your thread!!! Commission??? :hail: :p

And yes, both of those Jefferson sets you picked up in Ontario were sweet!! All of them looked very nice, both sets, and many had very nice rainbow target toning. Very cool to see.

Congrats Jack! In this buisness you either got it or you don't. You got it!!

The coin world can be a big scary place... the advise that you gave was very sound for anyone else thinking about trying it out.

But in general what you think it's like before you do it and what it's really like when you do are 2 totally different things.

IS there a legal age you have to be to be an official dealer by IRS rules or ANA membership rules?

Great story it's very familiar to me I relate completely. I too was a lifetime on and off collector/wanna be dealer. I was until recently an eBay power seller CEOGBOSE with 100% positive feedback rating as well but stopped selling there about 6 months ago and built a website as well CoinSpace.org. eBay had sucked me dry of any possible profits and started to make me hate the hobby I also got tired of unscrupulous buyers holding my 100% Feedback rating hostage demanding anything and everything to take advantage of my great product and service. The website I built an auction site combined with a social network was tailored to somehow try and compete with them by making it more personal, informative and easier to buy sell, so far so good we're getting good traffic it's just difficult to get people to commit to change from what they're used to Ebay. Like you said the beginning is tough lots of expenses advertising being the largest but again your right on the money print ads no good online links are what works the best.

Thanks for the update it's encouraging and wish you continued success!
