Found the following coins my parents safe deposit box. Also found some paper money, posted those pictures in the paper money forum. Anyone help with information on the gold coin?

no date buffalos can get $1 each. I would guess $650-$750 on the gold, just a guess though. On the silver, maybe check the dates against a redbook and post clear pics of the lower mintage coins.
Thankfully, the 1909-D $10 Indian looks to genuine, AU (almost uncirculated) and probably worth $600-$650.
thought that too initially, but then had hope it was just something stuck to the outside of the holder creating a shadow or worse, lodge between the holder and coin. not sure what would make a mark like a shallow hole, but no real evidence that it deformed the reverse or went through, yet there are other dark copper(?) like spots on the reverse that look like those spots that show up on these older gold coins. curious to hear what that spot might be.
under a 10x loupe the hole in the front looks to be very shallow, on the back it looks to be just black spots, not sure what would cause the spots.
The dark spots are probably copper spots/satins due to the impure alloy and are not particularly uncommon on older gold coins.
Pure gold shouldn't spot up like that. But these coins are only 90% gold. They are also 10% copper which is definitely prone to spotting. Not that uncommon on a 100 year old gold coin.
I see someone paying $1 ea for no date buffs in Coinage (I think)magazine from time to time. Has to be NO date though, partial dates are less.
