    Very cool of you @dwhiz
FFIVN may want to get in on this as he has a love of all things coins and especially loves half dollars. He's busy doing his science homework though so he will have to wait :p

Entry post! I know what I'm looking at here, although I would feel a bit guilty as I think of YN as <18.

My type set would love this.

Here is a big bank of steel cents my family friend has, who collected through the 80s only with help from his grandparents. I am tempted to purchase them because there were some gorgeous steelies, never seen better. Would love to pick out some of the best to consider submitting, but they would be hard to get out.

he had some worn common date morgans I would consider too, but haven't reached out to him in a bit. Wanted to know what I should offer. Not like he wants to keep them anyway. Some had none of that gross flaking that steelies get... So I was really excited!

Out of curiosity, what is your definition of a YN @dwhiz?

    ENTRY POST for FFIVN

This is a coin design that I have been working on. I have some clay that I want to carve the design into. Some day I would love to be able to mint my coin in metal.
The obverse has my face and an "L" mintmark for the town I live in.
The reverse has the Liberty Bell, which I saw on a trip to Philadelphia, and it is worth 75 cents. We have a quarter, half dollar, and dollar, so why not have a 75 cent coin?

Next to my coin design, I have 3 of my favorite coins since I couldn't pick just one.
My favorite world coin: A 1981 Canada 1 cent proof.
My favorite ancient coin: An Athenian Tetradrachm
My favorite US coin right now: A Peace Dollar from 1922 that my dad got at the bank for a dollar!

I keep these coins on my nightstand next to my bed so that I can look at them any time I want.

Love that. I was thinking myself of attempting to mint my own "ancient style coin" with my own design. the little one obviously has a good eye for coins, and a good hand, as my artistry is not so good as JR

Fair question the ANA definition YOUNG NUMISMATISTS (AGES 5-17) but I'll accept anyone UNDER 21 as of closing date & time.

That's somewhat disappointing but quite understandable. I was hoping I could designate a YN with my entry post.

I haven't designated any YN since @Penny Luster's 12 days of Coinmas contest. I haven't yet entered into @Santinidollar's February contest. However, I'm currently planning on designating one for that contest as well.

I am not participating on my behalf. I'm posting on behalf of my 9 year old son. I assumed that was made clear at the beginning of the post...

FFIVN = Furry Frog IVN (Junior as written on Roman coins). I thought most people on the forum knew that.
