I have a coin from Mexico and wanted to know about it? the outside of it is silver and the inside is like a gold color. The coin is dated 1892 and has a N$1 in it, I am wondering if many were made and if it is rare. I also was wondering about a silver dollar that is from 1922 and has a spelling error on it . Instead of trust it is spelled trvst? hope I am doing this correctly?

It's best if you post a pic.

The Mexican may be a bi-metallic 1992 nuevo peso. They revalued their currency in the 1990s and the N$1 let you know these were the new coins. If so; the outer ring is nickle and the inner is brass.

The Peace dollar had Trvst intentionally spelled that way, neo-classical Roman imagery was in vogue at the time.

If you buy A Guide Book to US Coins by Yeoman (AKA the Red Book) it would go a long way to answering any questions you may have and is a very interesting read.

If that isn't a typo, you probably have a Chinese-made replica of a Nuevo Peso.

In my experience, the 1992 Mexican 1 New Dollar coin date looks a LOT like 1892. Look very very closely - it's 1992.
