Dings don't grade circulated. You need wear for that.

Specifically, where are your issues? A 62 is borderline wasted.

I really think some of you boys could learn how to grade before you start giving grades.

You know Eddie why dont we do this....why dont we allow YOU to put" your money" where your feed bag goes...? Why dont you" pony up" the gradings fees ,and allow the young lady to send this specimen in to any of the 3 top TPG and have it graded by a professional?
Since you believe this to be a MS 65 with no details and so sure that you're correct its a no brainer!
    RIGHT?
And since none of us members know anything about grading you'll have all the fodder for your canon ,and have the bragging rights to make all of us no nothings look bad!
Its a very simple solution to this problem...."pony up or shut up"....! From giving disinformation or misinformation on this specimen.

You're going crazy. Just re-read what you said: "And since none of us members know anything about grading..." I never said that, you said it. I said this...

But that so emotionally upset you you had to haul off on me like you're a crazy person. Go ahead, have at it. Hope you feel real big for it. I stand by my grade as well as that statement. If you care to discuss any of that like a normal person, cool down first. You don't, that's your business.

Very nice for a coin almost 95 years old. A real keeper for sure. Did you find it in a roll, or purchase/ or thinking of purchasing it?

It’s a nice old wheat cent and a keeper, but certainly not a gem MS coin. Due to slight wear on the high points and some remaining luster it’ll likely get a mid-AU grade. Color is on the odd side, but doesn’t strike me as AT.

This coin has proved to be a most contentious sort when it comes to being graded. We've seen grades from "detailed" to MS65. Some extremely esteemed coin folks such as Razz, Paddy54, Eddie, Micbraun, Yolo, MichaelK, Potty, Manny, Mr. Ransom, Tonka, Mkm5 and Sal have weighed in here, and yet we're still miles away from anything close to a consensus agreement on a grade. These particular specimens that are so difficult to grade are quite rare. The last one like this that I saw was a 1867 Indian Head cent that I came across back in '06. Wish I still had the pics. Good luck getting an agreeable grade on Sley's coin here.....not a happening thing.

This specimen is very tricky....its a hammered strike that has underlying issues of course thats my opinion.
I can tell you and I wont name names....the wholesalers from a certain company seek out coins like this....at the Whitman show Baltimore.
I am friends with 25 plus dealers here in the mid Atlantic area.
These guys love coins like this one....why they can put them up on ebay and let the bid idots go nuts....pictures are doctored for a fact as I have seen a coin in hand before and know for a fact that yes the coin looks good....then when one looks closer one see's that the coin does have issues.
I have worked Whitman and the dealer tell me that dude is from "xyz" looking for coins as such.
Good dealers want quality inventory....if they have questionable coins they do unload them
Who wants to sell a coin at a show to have the customer make a fuss on the coin show floor that you sold then a problem coin. So they dump problems ....Working the shows you learn alot....you see alot....I have seen the wholesale guys told at a local show to move on...not to approach the dealers in the room.... or your ban.
Again nice coin..she has.... but coins like this one can be dangerous in the market place...my honest opinion.

You got mud in your ears? Yes, I think it's gem. And I see the issues, I got good eyesight.

Well, sorry, but what do you require, a special PM? I said I stand by it, and then you ask me if I stand by it.

It's becoming evident that this thread, in particular, this coin, has the potential to polarize many here at CT. I think we need to call on cooler heads to prevail or this could get quickly out of hand. I can't help but think of a large boxing ring. Filled with angry posters duking it out.......Eddie elbowing Paddy54 in the face while dragging Razz around the ring on his right leg....now Kentucky wants a piece of the action, as he grabs Eddies hair from behind and then pummels Eddie with a quick barrage of rabbit punches to the nose........now Sal leaps over the ropes with the greatest of ease and unleashes a fury of roundhouse karate kicks to body of this thread's innocent author(Sley), who was just minding his business off in the corner....what's this?.....someone now slithers under the ropes and into the ring to join the melee.....and it's none other than MeowTheKitty who seems to be avoiding the fighting......down on both knees....my God it looks like he's scavenging coins off the mat that have fallen from pockets, of all things....now MeowTheKitty rises to his feet in triumph, as he raises his left hand towards the heavens clutching....is that a quarter?...yes it is....Meow is shouting something that's kind of hard to make out, but it sounds like he's saying "I have a "W"....I found a "W"! ......that's strange. Oh oh.......who's this jumping into the ring now? It looks like it's Insider, looking to find himself a healthy dose of trouble as he dances around the ring shouting "I'm young, I'm handsome and I'm the best darn grader on the planet" , as he threatens all others with his wind-up windmill punching motion.....enough of this.....my point is for all to not get overly aggressive trying to grade Sley's '26 Lincoln here.

It's mine. I inherited it, and it was in a can of mixed pennies. Thank you
