Not sure if anybody has seen these autions on ebay. I am in the wrong business - give me a buffer,some polish and a slab. Away I go.....oh well.....I just can't believe the prices. I think the seller confuses luster with light glare....I could not help but chuckle aloud. Reading the feedback says it all....
I don't know how these people take themselves seriously. Nor how you could muster up the ambition to knowingly try and rip people off over and over again. I appreciate sellers who sell things that you know they would buy themselves. When they try to trick people or sell junk at a premium it really irritates me. Especially after seeing time and time again how picky and particular they are when it comes to purchasing something themselves from the public. In my limited time going to shows and shops, I've heard every excuse under the sun given for low-ball offers. Even slabbed, proof gold commemoratives! There's always some reason YOU own junk but they have something good that people want to buy. Here we have a seller attempting to sell roughly a Fine polished, CBH in a homemade AU-58 slab. I didn't even crack a smile at this one. This kind of thing only hurts the hobby.

I agree with you vess, but the first thought that went through my head was - how can anyone think it is AU. Then I looked at a few other auctions and it was a joke. I had to laugh - the same with SGS, as frustrating as it can be I just have to laugh when I see their auctions - or I might pop a gasket. After looking at some of the auctions I thought here is the grading process: (1) Send us a coin (2) We buff it for you (3) Apply the hot turtle wax (4) Dry it a little (5) Guess at a grade (6) Slab it and return it. Now you are ready to sell.
Yeah, I've seen these people with their videos... Kinda weird, and the coins are crap too.. Hey lets put a coin in a crap slab, with a random overton and grade on it.. LOL
well I can't say I have never been fooled by a slick tongued salesman, but not when it comes to coins. But this is really over the top for anyone who has any knowledge of numismatics.
Yeah in one of his videos he was giving a lesson on the peace dollar... LOL And the D mints of the United States coinage.. It was a joke!

Well the people buying his coins are newbies, if they believe that the grade on the slab is correct, and maybe it would do them good to learn a history lesson.. LOL
