Ok, I know that you folks have a favorite child. Admit it! Let’s see the Morgan Dollar that you love the most. Ok, here is mine. As you notice, I had posted this here on Cointalk almost a decade ago, from the Cointalk archived files.. Here are the pictures from when I bought it. It is in a safe deposit box, in the bank, with my 1893s. It is a PR 64 PCGS. I actually like it better than my 93s.

That's like saying..."Post a picture of your favorite child". :)

There's a recent Discussion Thread on Sunsets. Your Proof Dollar would fit right in!

Hard time narrowing it down to only one. Can I post 8-9x?? :) I think I narrowed it down to these two --

    38654629_Large.jpg
1904-O MS65. Common date but one of my cleanest, crispest Morgans.

    40966602_Large.jpg
1883-O MS63+DMPL. PL and DMPL always fascinated me and this is my best example to date.

I also have an exceptionally cool NGC GSA 1882-CC MS64 which came in a very close 3rd place. On my long term wantlist: proof Morgan and a GSA DMPL CC.

It's like picking your favorite child - hard to do. I like coins that look like they had to work for a living. So. I'll just put a nice working coin out there.

MD, I think you led me to this coin years ago. It's an 1884-O MS64 DMPL CAC.

    It's my only DMPL:

Does it seem like the reverse is tilted a bit?
Either way I dig the toning even tho it's not monster.

Since the title says "Dollar", I have to post multiple pictures to equal $1 worth of Morgan design:

I remember. You were looking for a nice DMPL, and I saw this one, and sent you the info. Beautiful coin!

Yes, thank you !! I think you gave me a lead on 2 coins and one of them you thought the price just got too high. Or maybe I found one that the price was too high in your opinion.

Had to be 4-5 years ago.....

At least 4-5 years ago. I thought it was undergraded back then, and I still think so. It is definitely a 65 to me, with great eye appeal.

Well, it's already got a CAC bean so I really don't want to play the crack-out game with it. It's not mega-$$$ and I'm not selling anytime soon anyway.

Still, nice to know it's probably very solid for the grade or maybe even 1 grade low. :D

Yes, I got a lot of my Morgans at the bank for $1 each. And sometimes we would get them in change.

I only have a couple. It would probably be this one I acquired from Skyman a few years ago.

Same here, not trying to complete a set, but I am adding Morgan toners to my US collection from time to time. In higher MS grades with PL surfaces and/or colors they’re kind of pretty. Like this one:
