" we need to be careful what we ask for...we might get it!" There was an old story called the monkeys paw, where people would get three wishes and while the wishes would come true, they would come true in ghastly horrible ways, a person might wish for money then their beloved spouse would die in a horrible accident where they get the money they wish for and lose the one they wished to share it with.
I just reread this entire thread quickly and here are my observations from the reading: 1. Although we respect the Presidents that are on the coins, take them off. 2. The vast majority do not want any repeats of coins in the past, but new and fresh artistry such as Miss Liberty, American Eagle, and such. 3. Use the technology we have to make coins better, not allow technology to replace the artistry. 4. Not one Coin Talker said anything about me whining, thanks. Did I miss anything or am I wrong in the above observations?
Mr Coin Lover... Enough of your whining... LOL!!!! Yep I think you hit the nail on the head my friend... But I would have no problem having a Standing Liberty Cent..
how about a platinum standing Lib? or a .9999 gold coin? anything but recycle old coin designs on new coins!!! Fresh ideas! Like the statehood quarters brought forth! Not every design was well-received, but not all of them were good. And yet... some were spectacular!! but I beg of you!!! No more Dead Presidents!!!! I don't want to be the kid in "The Sixth Sense" that says "I see dead people... on my coins!!!!"
I see dead people.... Now that would like nice, a Standing Liberty Platinum Bullion Coin... I'd buy that! SING ME UP:eat:
