Then your coin is KM#346.a, made from Nickel-Plated Steel, values in my catalog XF40-$2.50, MS60-$5.00, MS63-$7.00, MS65-$9.00. Still hold on to it.

That would explain the $10.00 for shipping.

Teran, tough crowd, but I agree with you. I find the coin interesting and that makes it valuable to me. A friend of mine brought me coins from his father's collection from South America. None of the coins had much monetary value, but they were great additions to my collection. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

It's probably a common coin, but tough to find in the US. When they do make their way onto ebay, they tend to sell for several dollars.

Not trying to highjack your thread but wanting to share some of my bank notes . I hope you don't mind as I do believe the subject matter is very interesting to many.
Che like a hand full of other famous people who are known by their first name ....that's a small club but everyone knows just who you are talking about ....when you say Che, Cher, Madonna......etc...etc....
As you look over the notes notice the dates , the country or company's that printed them.
Then if you're a history buff like myself think about that point in time ,and how it has effected history.
I do not consider Che a personal hero, however I can understand how he had became one to the people of Cuba as well other Latin American countries.
One needs to step aside of your personal politics, and understand that in Che' mind and world he was just as much a patriot as any of the founding fathers here in the United States.
He fought for his believes , that like other patriots thoughtout history have done.
Depending on your beliefs he was a hero or foe.....one thing for sure he left his mark on history ....as again everyone knows Che' .

Next an 1960 5 peso bank note with Che' as the treasurer of Cuba.
Notice on the reverse bottom who printed the note, and its 1960 ......history almost at the end of time....as the U.S. ,Cuba, and Russia are on the brink of nuclear war!
As a product of this time peroid I can assure you my butt practiced diving under my 2nd grade desk to protect myself from a nuclear weapon.......oh well sounded like a good plan at the time....T.G. Mary Murray was under the desk next to mine.....she was hot in 2 nd. Grade lol.

He's popular in the way that Hitler is.

I wouldn't compare Che' to Hitler.... as Che' was a socialist and Hitler a fascist.
Che' only wanted his people to be free from interference of other goverments putting puppet goverments in power....Hitler wanted world domination and a master race! Two very different power struggles.

Che was a murderer. Hitler had someone do it for him. You can split hairs, but they were both socialists.
