Pass.....you can do better than that. Unless, of course, you're putting together a circulated set. (and you can still do better than that)

If you can pick it up for bullion why not? Careful there on it though, its got a carack in the bell. : )

Yea but in your case thet're right .:eek:JK .
For bullion it's fine , but for collecting , unless you're of limmited funds right now it's ok , but I'd listen to green18 and save up to get a nice MS coin .

Since no one has answered the question posed, yet....it looks XF (edited from AU) to me.

As for the grade I would go F-12to VF20.The rev. is weak ...good luck

That is one fugly coin, no luster and well worn. However, it's worth what, $5 melt? A quick eBay search netted a much nicer coin for approximately the same cost. For less than melt tho, I'd buy it all day long.

I see little wear on the obverse and am guessing that most of the weakness on the reverse is strike.

i would only get it if your trying to complete a set but that is pushing it i would hold off and try to get one in better condition

I'm most certainly a beginner at grading, but here we go, I see the obverse as the best part of this coin, VF30 at best; and VG8 on the reverse, weak strike or not. I'd still buy it at melt.

I would say VF-35 but I would most likely pass on the coin!!

I say VF, and cleaned, with some minimal rim damage.
    Pass.
