Hi Everyone. Saturday I went to the bank and purchased ten dollars in pennies. The third roll in I discovered a 1971 Lincoln Double Die Obverse in excellent shiny condition and as soon as I get my usb microscope I will post a picture. The doubling is sort of smashed together and not separate and distinctive but it is clearly there. My question is this; what do I do now?.. How do I get it graded? I am considering putting it on the market.

Also. is this a common double die date or do I have a one of a kind?

The administrators and moderators may not approve of the picture you use. They have asked in the past to refrain from the use of detestable pictures.

I am not sure exactly what is occurring on the forum lately, but it seems some have retained anger from other threads that is spilling over where it is not appropriate. You can do it to me if you wish, as I have been around enough to either let it go or say something directly, but the OP with a short time here may not understand the undercurrents and think it is about him, which doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth, nor I am sure in his.

Prospector, it is probably very unlikely you or anyone finds a new Doubled die 1971 era cent, but photos of the suspected area are needed for determination as to if you have a "known" DD. There are in my references 5 different DDO for this year.
