Hello, I dont know to much on Kennedy halves, but I find them very interesting. My question- Do all Kennedy halves have a mintmark? (Example, does a Philidelphia mint produced half, have a P mint mark?) The reason I am asking is becasue I found a 1992-P half....But I also found a 1999 half, with no mint mark. And all of the rest I have either have none, or a D. Thanks. -Jordan
in a word: No. Not all JFK's have mintmarks. 1964; D had mintmark on reverse, left. Philly: none. Other dates: 1965-1967 (40% silver) no mintmarks. as for the later years, I don't have a list handy.
To continue this list and if I read my Red Book correctly: - 1968 thru 1970 there were no Philly halves struck - 1971 thru 1979 the Philly halves did NOT have a mintmark - 1980 thru the present all halves have mintmarks
