....and a dad for a hookup!!!!

My dad just started collecting coins again but he never had a gold coin. He now has one as well as some extra dough

Thanks for your advice from a while back. I have been using it to warn the other sellers as to the results of flooding the market at once. Its been tough but right now Ive managed to keep one of the sellers from posting rolls. He even took it down after he had bids.

I know, I am evil but its a win win situation for the 4 sellers of nickels

And, hey, what's a little market manipulation/collusion among friends! :D

Not market manipulation...just free advice. The guys who I contacted were even thankful for the advice. Like i said the advice was a win-win situation for all of us, however once more sellers start appearing it is a free for all and Ill have to resort to selling rolls instead. I cant see the market for nickels stay too hot within the next 2-3 weeks so you may start seeing rolls then

When you are all done, you'll have to post a final tally.....just to make us all drool. I've done will with the dimes, but no where near your haul!

Well so far Ive had 105 auctions sold between nickels and dimes with a total earnings before fees and shipping of $5,275.50. The first sale was actually on 5 June.

P.S. I have another 20 rolls of dimes coming and 50 rolls of nickels with me. In addition to what my dad has which is about 30 more rolls of dimes and 50 of nickels.

Manny, that is just nuts! But Congrats!

Luckily, I got some 2009 dime rolls now as well, so I can help my total.

Congrats to you Mike. Even at $50 or 60 a roll it is still a nice profit if you have quite a few of them.

You gotta love free market economy

Oh they can hear all they want...guess what, Im not sure if these gains can offset $20K+ in realized losses I had in the stock market last year. Lets just say that with my military pay and this extra income, Ill still end up getting everything back in taxes I paid...and then some.

Sounds like short term losses. If you didn't have enough gains to offset this loss, you can write off $3,000 a year for the next 7 years.

I didnt have enough to offset the losses.

Shoot I am in the wrong business. I should be flying around the country obtaining rolls of 2009 coins at face value.
