The obverse of the copper Lincolns LOOK like ancients...

 

Here's one of my "bad" shape coins. 1916 S Barber Dime

 

I know I've posted it before in other threads but it fits here too. Not unwanted, but it is damaged and ugly for sure.

 

Well~I can't figure this coin out. You win, WHAT IS IT!

 

OK .. I think its an advertising Jeton from New York City's Bowery. They sell a pumas like product for finishing on the obverse and a bluing & blacking process for steel/iron and kind of metal on the reverse. Ripley

I think I'm correct in calling it a Store Card Token. Probably mid 1800s.

Here's mine....the first one is actually kind of cool. The 2nd one you have to really look to see the columns of the Lincoln Memorial. There is absolutely nothing on the obverse of it. Taken from a bank roll.

 

Here's my ugly contribution:






It's a 1787 M33.13-z.1 Connecticut (R-6). It's ugly but it's also very rare so it will fill a hole until I acquire a better example.

Found the old Target

I found our old target Indian Head Cent.

This would have been a very pretty coin today had it not been "Targeted".

 

does anyone have a ugly american eagle or buffalo, modern commemorative gold or silver coins to show us?.
