I bought this when I started collecting a couple of years ago, and didn't even take it out of the stapled flip until recently to image it! It's just dumb luck that I avoided one that was hairlined or messed with (I hope!); it's the only Bust $1 I own, got it as a type coin:

Very nice coin. Here are two of them - I have another 1799 and 1800, but no pictures.

Nice coins, Mark. Cool die cracks on the reverse of your '99, and I like the patina on the '98.

Good one.....but I think in these it is probably only a 64. :)

If I get energetic tomorrow I will image my other two. I thought I did the 1800 dotted date, but can't find the pictures.

I saw a 1799 in person today, it was VF, it was in one of the cases my dealer has (Just met this dealer today)
Bought two coins from him, but didn't buy any bust coins! :D
I don't have any coins to contribute to this thread, but I can add some "ooo's" and "ahhh's" at the coins I see...

    OOO... AHHHH...

    :D

    Nice coins everybody :)

Do you remember the price? Just curious.

I didn't ask, nothing was marked.
I had to ask for the prices on the two coins I bought, the two morgans.
I talked a little while, and got them to come down $10 on each.
Maybe if I talk to them for a few years, I can get that bustie for free! :D
Next time I go I will ask :)

I suspect Eduard has at least one very nice bustie (if it's anything like the rest of his coins).

If their was one around, I bet Lehigh would have it. He's kinda partial to the nice stuff. :)

Wish i had one to place on the thread but not right now. I've had a chance at one but didn't have the dinero at the time.

I am always one to oblige. Not a bustie, but a flowing hair: B-5 variety, bar behind head. R-1.

Eduard, that flowing hair dollar is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing her with us. (for a copperguy, you have some awesome silver in your strongbox!)

Had to rush since the batteries were about dead. The 1799 is not quiet as bad as it looks - still I like it.

Mark to the rescue! hey, no such thing as a bad bustie, unless it's a fake, which yours aren't.
Is there a story about the 2 dots over the date on the 1800? That's a cool coin!

The only thing I have seen on the 1800 dotted date is they were caused by die breaks. I have not read or see a story behind it.
