    Obv: APIΣTOK / ΘI below & left.Warrior, on horse galloping to right, wearing a lorica and a crested helmet, holding a lance in his right hand and with a large round shield covering his back (APIΣ-).

    Rev: ΤΑΡΑΣ. Phalanthos riding dolphin to left, holding trident over his right shoulder and being crowned with wreath by Nike flying towards him; below, rudder.

    Ref: HN Italy 1039; Vlasto 899; SNG ANS 1217ff.

    Sigh 12 hour rule. I am not sure but is there a Neptune from the 4th Century AD? I could be wrong. Octavian Ar Denarius 32-27 BC. Obv Winged bust of Victory right draped with right breast exposed. Rv Octavian Nude (aren't you glad that politicians don't do that anymore?) standing left holding scepter and aplustre with foot resting on large globe. RIC 256 CRI 409 3.87 grms 18 mm Photo by W.     Octavian is celebrating a naval victory on this coin probably the successes he had over Sextus Pompey. So there is a vague link to Neptune.
