Yeah. I have some cotton gloves. But I'm afraid of leaving hairlines by touching the coins with those. I have to get them out of the mint holder somehow though. I guess a slight nudge will be alright. Thanks.

You should be alright with the gloves. Their still coins you know and your not polishing them.

Glad to help out and it's nice to see that holder put to good use. How about a pic?

The only Capital Proof set holders I see on eBay run from $3.75+$3.00 to $9.95+$1.50. AdamL got a good deal on his though :D

I never heard of one of those breaking before, must have hit just right, keep an eye on your dad also, it might be a warning sign of something.

Yep - Looks fine to me. I like capital holders also - at least for small sets.

Well, it fell like 5 feet on to concrete, and I think it hit right onethe corner. I was suprised that it broke even in the cardboard outer holder though.

When I did cracked my first proof set it started a chain reaction, I bought a set of Dansco albums with proofs and then somehow all of my proof sets got cracked out. :)

Thats why I don't buy the albums with spots for proofs. I don't want to start that kind of chain reaction, lol.

is it good to open a proof set and transfer it the nice plastic holder like the one you post it?. in the long run. which one will be a better price?. original mint plastic case holder or the later?.

I would think that original mint packaging would be better. But since my mint plastic was broken I didn't have much of a choice.

but then i look at your plastic case. it is very attractive. maybe expensive too. if i have a set of proof coins from different sources. i might put those proof coins into that case that you shown us. black or white color it doesn't matter. how much is the cost of that nice case? and how much if we buy in bulk?.

Yes, it is a very attractive case! I'm not sure how much they cost as this was kindly given to me by pennyguy. I believe that I have heard they are around 9 dollars. They have holders kind of like this for just a couple dollars, but they're not nearly as nice as this one.
