very nice notes urban! I do really love the notes that hit that 66 or 67 grade or higher!!! They are just superb! What are the 'comments' the slab insert says to see??
Chicaog doesnt have or ever have any presses... unless you mean counterfeiters... the Chicago designation is just the reserve bank the ntoes were issued from. These notes are before the Fort Worth addition tot he printing family, so these notes were printed at the Washington facility
The second one is my favorite! Love the older $20 bills, and really all older currency, I think the designs were much better back then! You picked up some nice ones, but that is about all I can say, for I don't know the first thing about paper money!
yes older currency definitely has a wonderful look to it. i would love to get some more large sized notes that just have some truly beautiful works of art on them

Notice also that on the 1928C, the two serial numbers have different typefaces used for the "A" suffix letter. The one in the left serial is typical for this series; the one in the right serial is older--it's standard on Tate-Mellon notes and fairly common on Woods-Mellon, but this is only the second time I've ever seen it on a Woods-Mills. (The other one is 1928B $1 SC Z32469890A, which I own). As far as I know, nobody cares about this enough for it to affect the note's value, but it's at least an interesting variety....
