I found two Arizona D Quarters in a roll search with the cactus covering the designer initial. The one on the left is the error and the one on the right is what it should look like.
Yea there are alot of different errors and varities on the statehood quarter series they are cool if you can get themr all in your collection from DD to greased filed dies etc etc. JC
The close up on the left is the close up of that coin. But I will see if I can get a better one.:headbang:
It is a die chip and I believe they call it the extra cactus. I posted a pick of one of the several I have found - somewhere.
That is what I thought at first but you can see the cactus pattern in it. Maybe these two pictures will show it better.
Like to snap shot of one of the ones I have found. I think I have 3 or maybe 4 of them now. This seems to be the only variety of state quarter I can find. No low leaf or any of that good stuff. http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t56590/
Here a Philly with about the same type Die Variety. the New Mexico-D DDR in the mint set is one that worth more. I not sure what the price is on the Arizona-P&D is DV
I do not see anything on this philly you posted? Am I missing something could you highlight the area. And is there a D variety of this? I thought it was all philly. Thanks
