I am assuming that this is nothing, but i am curious to see what people here think. i have looked on the internet but cannot seem to find anything like it.
the edge is thinner than a normal dime and the thinning seems to be very uniform on the front and back. the stamp is P and the date is 200?.
I figured i would check here before deciding it is just a normal dime and letting it end up in my kids piggy bank.
    what are your thoughts? Thanks.

Pretty much, It is post mint damage...

It might have been caught in a counting machine, or done intentionally, but it was done post mint.

I agree, the edges are to uniform in shape to be a minty error. Post Mint.
