Just received my two rolls from Mint house, and I saw this, and that, and that. Is this a Clash die? NOTE: Those are two different coins. Found around 20 like that. Thank for your time and opinion.
Here we go again The first and second coin look like white spots from moisture.,and the last coin seems like little die chips in certain areas in black you posted to me . I don't see any indication of a die clash not with those pics anyway. JC
The 2nd is the 1st lighted up. And the 4th is the 3rd lighted up also. They are not from circulation, they are coming directly from the mint and removed from the rolls with gloves on my hands.
Good Question Rockdude. Between WE and TRUST "a raised dot"; In front of the mouth "same mark of 1980 Lincoln Cent showing or making Lincoln are teeth; and the LIBERTY is doubled. I'm happy because at least I will not hear the "post mint damage" judgment this time. Look in the first also what I found in the reverse and split letters on GOD.
Come on Carlos give us a break Are you obsessed with teeth. The raised dot is a small die chip, and probably on his teeth as well I would like some good pics of liberty Carlos if you can. I have to say you may have something with In God we trust and states. I would like if you could give me clearer pics of In God we trust and states I;m seeing some splits in those letters on the S of states I would say a possible obverse doubled die i'm not kidding on this. I have examined the new one squeeze effect doubled dies ,and they are totally different then the older ones you have to know what you are looking for in determining the new ones. Just coins, I'll try to give you new pics, but most sure will be for tomorrow morning. In my job we are very busy. Any way, because those marks in front of the mouth, I still believing that they are using old dies in the making of this new cents.
I just want to show you the simularities of the doubling on the sent Carlos has posted and a 2006 obverse doubled die Notice the notching on the both coins in the letters they seem to be simular in there nature that little upper split look on each of the coins, the 2006 which is a true doubled die on liberty, and Carlos coin the 2009 a possible new variety here 2009 reverse doubled die on the both S's of states and who knows were there's other doubling maybe on as well with better pics I will tell. The O in of does have a strange look to it and the notching on the F also. I would like to examine this coin in hand. I have a question Carlos is this from a roll of 2009 cents there may be others with in that roll? JC Formerly Jazzcoins Joe
In the beginning I putted more attention to the doubleing in the reverse. But now I see most clear, look right in the nose there's no double but TRIPLE nose. Thank Just coins for your advise. Yes is from two rolls I received directly from the Mint House.
I believe you have a new 2009 variety doubled die obverse Carlos. I see a good indication on the G and S with one squeeze hub doubling ,and notching the nose looks very good to with triple images they look raised the images.I don't see any indications of die wear or machine doubling The mouth area is hard for me to detect. I believe you may have a obverse and reverse doubled die and a first discovery. i will examine the coin in hand if you want me to to make a positive conclusion on this very interesting specimen indeed. i would say THERE is A 90 percent chance that it's a doubled die and possible a obverse and reverse doubled die. I ALSO NOTICE DOUBLING IN THE CHEEK AREA AND EYE AREA WHICH i INDICATED IN RED ARROWS WOW jc JC
I'll be at the coins show in Long Island on Jun-28. I got to do something for take better pictures. Look that, the lighting shadow forced me to make two pictures of the same word LIBERTY on the same coin to understand better the doubling.
Carlos is there tripling on some of the letters in Liberty? I can't make it out with those pics. You have to understand Carlos, if there's no doubling on the liberty it doesn't mean it ins't a doubled die all details don't have to be doubled for it to be one.I have seen enough proof for me to determine that it is a doubled die especially in the eyebrow and the eye area of the coin JC
Just Coins. How I can see you, o send the coins to you? I have around 20 like that. It's not good idea to send these to ANAC for graded?
If you wish to send me one please do i will examine the coin for you of no charge, but if it happens to be what I think it is, I will just except one coin for my examination . How many do you have Carlos with the same exact doubling? I will furnish my address to you in a PM only if you are willing to do this Thanks Just Coins
I got to check all again. I received two rolls from the Mint. My error in this post was that. I putted 2 coins at the same time, and now I see they are little different. Our conclusions any way is in the first one. (Image 1st and 2nd) the image 3rd and 4th belong to a second coin. Thank, and please be a little patience; my Email is CarlosArriaga4@hotmail.com Thank again.
when you guys flipped over your one-cent penny (the tail side of the penny) is it supposed to be upside down?
You got to be clear about the difference between "flipped over" and "Open book". To see the oberse and reverse straight good, the American coins use the "flipped over" system.
