Hey Everyone! Round 3 went by quite quickly. Looks like you guys are desperate! 3 of you said MS66FB and one said MS66. And PCGS did not give this one an FB. So.... Congrats "gopher29"!!! :thumb: Please PM me with your address and what type of coins you collect. I'll try to send you a prize that you'll enjoy and fits into your collection. (Just don't say gold! ). Thank you for everyone who participated in my contest. I hope you had fun and enjoyed it! :hammer: I hope to have many more contests in the future. Thank you!
Congrats Gopher. I can't believe they didn't give that full bands. Nice coins and thanks for the contest!
Wow, congrats gopher. I'm surprised no FB on that one...oh well. It was fun, thanks for the contest Ryan!
Congratulations Gopher. I am out of my territory, but what on that coin could possibly make it not full bands?
You know, looking at it again...the bottom set of bands seem to fade out towards the left. I wonder if that's why it didn't make the grade.
No, that's not why it didn't make the grade. It didn't make the grade because PCGS didn't designate any of those Omaha Bank Hoard Roosevelt dimes as Full Bands. I don't know why. Maybe it was all part of a giant grading/price package deal between the Omaha Bank Hoard estate keeper and the grading company. Who knows? But if I were the one grading that dime I would have said MS-66 FB. Thanks for the contest!
Gopher wow! You go! Congrats Ryan thank you for the contest, and also, can't wait until the next contest
Wow, I stand corrected. That's the first PCGS graded Omaha Bank Hoard Roosevelt Dime that I've ever seen with the FB designation. I wonder how many are actually out there.
I have no idea. The only reason I knew this one existed is I was looking at examples on HA to help me with this contest. I honestly don't know much about this hoard.
There are many FBL graded Franklins from this Omaha Bank Hoard as well. They are usually low quality 64s with weak lines, in other words - crap.
