    Two french pickups to day:

    My new favourite french coin,
    10 Centimes 1821
    Price: $67

But I can´t find it in Krause. It seems Krause doesn´t like early french centimes coins, cause i can't find any centimes from the second kingdom in my Krause 1801-1900. But it is minted in Paris, so probably the KM number is XXX.1, or something :goof:

The second is 5 Francs 1831
    KM 735.6
    Silver
    Price: $15

    And the beauty from Austria:
    5 Corona 1907
    KM 2807
    Silver
    Price: I don´t know :-D

The French coins doesn't do much for me, but the Austrian 5 Corona is awesome. It sure is a beauty!:thumb: Congrats!

    Thank you :smile

But the 10 centimes has turned out to be an essai, or a test coin. The word ESSAI, below Louis XVIII is too blurred to see.

    Thanks :smile

And I agree: the 5 Corona is the most attractive of the three (or two :p )

Thanks for posting the pictures. I'll try to look up the 10 Centimes 1821 the next time I visit my friend.

    Very best regards,

Bummer...but I guess that's gonna make it even more rarer than circulation coinage and even SCWC don't list it under 'trial strikes'. Probably is a new discovery.:eek:dd: Cheers :thumb:

Thanks, but I did find it in Krause after a while. It was listed under essais

It is!? I don´t find the value in my Krause

But it is damaged. The word ESSAI is almost invisible.

Even with marginal damage, I think such an old and rare essai should be worth atleast above $100
