I never paid much attention when I found canadian cents in change but the one I got today caught my eye. It's a 2003 that looks prooflike.Theres a P under the queen. I never saw that on any others.Anybody know what I have?

The "P" means plated. Starting technically 1999, but not issued until starting 2002, some of the cents are copper-plated-nickel-plated-steel. And that is normal to have that proof-like quality. I haven't seen one without it.:D Cheers!

Yes I agree I collect many Camadian coins, and I have some that are very proof like even with a cameo look to them. They are worth more the ones with the proof like surfaces maybe a few bucks more. The older coins I mean.
