Thanks for the heads up.Kinda hard to find the D's on the mint site.Hopefully were the only ones that know about it!
If you add the Denver rolls to your shopping cart, they now show a status of backordered. I think they're all gone. As they say, ya snooze, ya looze.
platfanatic: wow. 90 rolls. that's north of $3200......I don't have near the budget some of you have (wish I did). In fact, I'd love to quit my job and do coins full time. That would be a blast and with ebay, it could be profitable...(pausing to dream......)
Yikes -- I looked away from CT for an hour or two, and I missed the big rush! I just ordered -- it says "backordered. Expected to ship on 06/26/2009." What really rots, is that last night just put one up on ebay . . . oh well. I suspect that prices will never reach the levels/frenzy of the Harrison dollars.
i think the mint already sold all returns and credit card problems. backordered changes maybe on the waiting list.
Ordered 2 rolls of Denver around 9pm central last night, shipped this morning. My clad proof sets were ordered 7 minutes after release and still have not shipped. Rick L.
got mine today Yep -- I just cancelled my order. But not because I didn't want them. Read on! Some people are lucky because, say, they find good stuff roll searching (never happened to me), or they run into a roll of 2009 dimes (not me) . . . but my variety of luck is that I happen to work a mere 3 blocks from the mint store. So, after reading the beginning of this thread, I rushed to order on-line and got a "back order" message. Ten minutes later it occurred to me to call the US Mint kiosk. They have them in stock! So, I went over there, got what I just ordered online, and then canceled the on-line order. (Saves me waiting and a shipping charge!) And I asked the man: "these were sold out last week, what happened?" He replied (as he usually does): "I don't know -- but we got a shipment in this morning". (Hmm . . . so yesterday and/or the day before the mint knew they weren't sold out, right?, if they were shipping them to their stores). ========= On a side note: I'd love to help folks out here and pick up mint rolls for them -- but I'm guessing that with shipping, you're just as well off to get them from the Mint (if you don't mind waiting).
Roll of formative years from the bank? Nice! (Which bank? Where in Va are you?) As for the Tyler rolls, the folks here are talking about the specially wrapped US Mint rolls which come in boxes only from the Mint.
Talked to Mint rep Wednesday and she told me there was a large order that did not go thru due to CC problems. It must have been huge.... I wonder how many rolls sold in the last 24 hrs ??? Plat = 45 rolls each= 90 rolls:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow: Elaine= 10 rolls each=20 rolls Chief= 44 "P" rolls= 44 rolls (IN PROCESS) Add your name and quantity....lets see what us CTers bought !!! WE'RE #1, WE'RE #1, WE'RE #1 :thumb:
Wow -- who do you talk to? (I spoke to one guy who didn't know nuthin') I wonder how many rolls sold in the last 24 hrs ??? OK, question -- are you/Plat/whoever going to 'flip' that many? On ebay? Where? Or, do what with that many? (just curious) I'm small-time compared to you guys! I picked up 2 "P" rolls and 4 "D" rolls today. (B/c I had 3 p"s at home, and one for sale right now)
just one day offer. tyler's (P) is sold out. (D) is backordered. denver should be sold out very soon.
I ordered both some D and some P rolls around noon (5 each). I got a message saying they are back ordered. Just now I checked and the P rolls are SOLD OUT! So I hope I will still get them..... Robert
