population of uncirulated 1916-d dime only increased by about 15 for pcgs and ngc combined from 2005 to now.

I think I saw someone post that they have at least 5 1893-s morgans with photos before. In one of David Bower's books, he said there was a rumor that someone have uncirulated roll of 1914-d cent in the 1960's?. David Lawrence said someone sold a roll of 1893-s morgan to another dealer, and he bought a couple from that roll.

See, now I can believe that because it's under wraps.
Talking to another dealer this way years ago there is supposedly a guy that has an original roll of 1955 DDO Lincolns and he has no intention of selling them.

If I had such a roll I'd probably sell a few per year so I didn't flood the market. That or find a larger dealer willing to pay one heck of a lump sum.

    FULL ROLL? DANG!
I'd get them graded... The nicest ones anyway...
    I'd hope for two 65's, and some 64's... :D
I think I'd keep a 65, and sell the rest, and sell the others raw...
I think it would be cool, to find a OBW roll of key date pennies, or anything really...
Can you imagine, a roll of BU 1893 S morgans???? :D

Of course the question is if you found such a roll, could you afford it?

could you afford not to get it?

If some one was selling an OBW BU 1955 roll showing a 1955 DDO at one end, what would you bid knowing the seller would not let you open it first? Kinda like playing poker with Az. Jack huh.......

If you value the coin showing @ say $1500 ( as you can't see the reverse), what is the chance value of the rest of the roll? Maybe that is the only DDO!

    How about $10,000?

That is all one guy at the local coin store collects. I think they said he had like 16 of them - but not a whole roll. I was there one day while he came into the store to pick up one. He let me look at it - it was a sweet little coin.

As funny as this post was, I don't know where anyone in this multi-year thread got the idea that, even if the story was true, this would be a roll of mint state coins. If I posted "Granny left me a roll of 1877 Indian Head cents" Would people jump to the conclusion that they were all MS65 red?
