worst quarter roll that i ever open this week. it contained 40 pc of clad quarter dated 1964 to 1991. all coins were heavily used. some culled, some heavy scratches, some even carried plain edge. most coins were rusty and dark. it must be returned to the bank by a collector. why all coins were like that?. even doesn't have statehood quarters or XF washington quarters.

remind me of 1964. that one is a 90% silver. but it is heavily used and damaged. anyway. it is a bullion silver.

Hi Micheldura, I have a question for ya...

How did you make that picture so big of your 1974 penny?

Well, I sorted through 5 rolls of nickels and 10 rolls of pennies. Not much as far as older coins. Pennies were 1959-2009, and nickels were 1954-2008. I have them all sorted out by decade right now. Eventually I'll dig into them deeper.

Went through 5 rolls of half dollars. Nothing, except a really strange half dollar that looked like it was struck through grease on about 1/2 of the obverse....totally distorted. I'll take a pic later and put it up in error coins.

Also bought several rolls of pennys from 4 different banks in San Antonio, will be going through them later. I went through 4 rolls so far and got 1 1958 Wheatie.

I've been working on wheat cents for the past few weeks and decided to take a break yesterday and cracked open $100.00 worth of nickel rolls to look for a 2009. No 2009's but pulled 1 dateless buffalo, a 1942P silver, 3 others from the 40's, 12 from the 50's, a gold plated 2004 and thats it. That was a lot of nickels with not a lot to show for it. I'll head back to my lincoln wheats again tomorrow.
