I'm a fan of beautiful coin designs, and I tend to think silver's the best material to use in making a coin. Not just for bullion value, but for artistic purposes. Any suggestions of good world coins: silver coins with high artistic value?

Chaz: I'm now your big fan. Have you ever seen that silver armadillo, from some Central American country?
the big armadillo rings a bell, but I'll have to look it up. I do seem to recall seeing that somewhere Edit: just found it. The Venezuela 50 Bolivares. 1975 proof. Y#47. Very cool. http://numismatica.cheng-ca.com/en/coins/mv50bs-aa.htm I do have the Mongolia wolverine coin that won the coin of the year though.
And of course, there's my favorite big silver coin: The Mexico 1898 silver peso 1949 restrike: http://www.brianrxm.com/pages/mexsf.htm
