You know, until I saw this reverse design I was in the "keep the cent" camp... If this is the junk they are gonna put on our cent they might as well just get rid of them. There are far better designs to choose from then this garbage.
oh goodness. that is so ugly. i want to meet these people who come up with and choose these designs, they must have some kind of problem.
I don't care for their choices on the disabled veterans commemorative either. I prefer the ninth obv and the fourth reverse.
Maybe if they struck that one we could have a strike designation because I can't imagine the super detailed feathers would be easy to strike. Still a cool design and much better than the American flag one.
If I had to pick a reverse it would be the shield for the retro look. I hate the flag design also and we have plenty of eagles IMHO.I would also vote for a redesign of the obverse.I would put a finality to the present design and make for a nice album."100 YEARS OF LINCOLN CENTS" Perhaps in a nice leather-bound album.
