So now I have a P and D log cabin and I gave one of the extra P's to my brother who has a small collection and the other to his friend that was over who didn't even know there was a new design yet and thought it was cool. Hopefully get another collector into the hobby!

Well, I searched 3 more penny rolls. I got one wheat (58d) and 2 log cabins......yep, both P.

I notice that nearly all of my 08, 07, 06, etc., are D's. But, San Anton will have one for me.

Have you bought your paperclip yet Tmoney?

    Wow,
I picked up a box of halves today. I've given it a break for a while. I got 6 40%'s and one 90%'er. By far my best box ever.

    103 wheats (3 wheats in '30s)
    35 canadian pennies
    2 AU/BU wheats
    roughly $80 in pre-82s

No world coins or dimes mixed in this time.

picked up $75 in pennies (various banks ... i can only get "on hand" rolls) ... brought my total of pre-82 up to slightly over $25 ... i have 22 wheaties ranging from 1937 to 1958. probably have about $75 worth of coins to return to the bank when i take them in (majority of it is pennies).

a funny thing happened when i cashed coins in last time ... i counted each and every penny (1,175), and i put a quarter with it to equal $12.00 to get 24 rolls of pennies. the coin counting machine (like coinstar, except the one in the bank) counted that i had $13.65. this ever happen to anyone else?? it more than paid the "fee" for using the coin counting machine, and i didn't have to roll them back up.

you guys are all lucky getting "p"s, s lookk thru 5000 pennies at a time and hardly end up with much over a 100 "P's" I sort all my pennies to dated rolls and I am trying to get a million, I have about 300,000 as of now, I sort every night, I almost find more wheats & canadian than p's, I have to buy most of my p rolls thru ebay, I am also trying to put together a roll colllection, good luck on your contest, I will put the first nickel bid on the paperclip...hahahah:mouth: Kim

I've been through about $75 in pennies in the past month (laid up after surgery) and my log cabin count is -0-.
Going to Branson, MO this weekend though so I'm gonna buy some rolls up there..maybe with the tourist trade I'll pick up some goodies.

    Kimdehart:

I guess I would describe it as a near perfect storm. The only thing more perfect would be if no one else had some, but there has been 4 other sellers. It appears I'm the only one with more than just a couple. I've sold 9 (2nd chances) so far (deleting the first one because he wouldn't pay), with two currently up for bid and I have a few more (I keep finding them with my one source who has had them). One that closes tomorrow is currently only at $2.25....a bargain for what these have been going for. I may post a final report when I'm done, but not sure if that would be looked on as bragging. I'm shocked, stunned, and I don't want it to end :) thanks for asking.
