Hooray!!! For the first time in quite a while I got some new coins. These are for a MS-67 War Nickel set I'm putting together. Six down, five to go.
Nice pickups! I think that's a great set to have, I have the set in a Capitol holder from my Dad's collection, nowhere near as good condition as those, of course!
very nice, kanga. I love the luster! Those coins have great eye appeal! Nothing like what I have seen after they circulate a while.
Kanga, Are you going to add these new beautiful Jeffs to your NGC registry set. They would vault you to 1872 points and 22nd place on the front page. I see you still haven't added your photos to your registry set either. That 43-S looks like a real blazer in the photos. PS. Are you looking for an MS67 1943-P?
Yeh, they'll get added in the near future. I'm looking to get two coins at the Baltimore Whitman show on June 12. Those coins will complete my type set as best as I can reasonably expect. When I add them to that Registry Set, I'll pop over and add the Jeffs to the War Nickel set. Odd thing about the MS-67 War Nickel set. The six coins I have are all "D" and "S" coins. The five I'm missing are four "P" and one "S". I'm beginning to think that the Philly coins are harder to get in spite of the catalog values, at least in MS-67.
