Then want for Skantze to say something like... "They are done making these, and they are done, can't make them any more" Then he will mess up, stutter and ruin the deal that Mike had so well put together!! LOL
They had a platinum eagle, ANACS FDI numbered out of 9.... They sold five in one airing, and on HSN, they have like 8 left right now! LOL SOMEBODY MADE A RETURN!!!
It’s a Probability that I would buy from the seller. No problem with stock photos. I see many reputable sellers/dealers that do this. MS/PF 70 from PCGS is MS/PF 70 from PCGS. As mentioned different serial numbers of course.
I have a problem with it. Slab or no slab, I still want to see what I'm buying. Even MS70 graded coins aren't the same. If I can't see the coin I'm buying, I won't buy it.
This seller has been on Ebay since 2001 with thousands (1.5) of great reviews, only one problem with a lost payment thru Paypal, this may not have been his/her fault. Reputation and honesty seems to be the question here.
When MS70 values are more than twice the price of MS69 it's not insignificant. If I see a PGCS MS70 coin for sale then either the picture had better be the actual coin, or the seller should state that fact in the listing. Otherwise he's trying to lure me into a transaction by misrepresenting material information. Inaccurate description and deceptive photography, at minimum. Not to mention he claims to have 100% positive feedback, which is flat out not true, and hasn't been true for over 6 months. There's also no stated return policy. That's another red flag. It may not be outright fraud, but coin fraud is rampant on ebay, and with all the red flags here it should be immediately suspected. I'm floored by the number of people here willing to be apologists for this guy and say this is OK. Astonished. All of a sudden PCGS grades don't matter for these "widgets"? All of a sudden selling the same coin with the same serial number 3 times in 3 weeks seems perfectly normal to you? All of a sudden "this coin" doesn't mean this coin? I suppose it all depends on what the meaning of "is" is. Anybody have a copy of the ebay rules regarding coin auctions? Ebay pulled theirs. I will bet 10 quatloos that these listings violate at least 2 of the rules.
I will bet 10 quatloos that these listings violate at least 2 of the rules.[/quote] Sorry dont bet with quatloos, dont believe that Triskelion is real. I also would like to see what im buying. Yes, fraud exists. This seller could not have been on Ebay for this period of time and have so many good comments if it was a fraud.
This is true; there are things in the seller's favor, absolutely. Years on ebay. Not in China. No SGS slabs. Lots of good feedback. So I could almost see my way to trusting this seller. Almost If he's completely on the up-and-up, though, why not take the time to get the listings right? From the ebay coin selling guidelines: The potential for misunderstanding is high when a seller seems to be selling the same coin over and over again. And please note that IF a seller says the photos are stock then I have zero problem with that, but that is not the case here.
Ok you got me at not being in China. LOL I agree, being less vague would help and I can see how people could see this as being deceptive by showing the same slab and yes a note stating that this is a stock photo would also be nice. Nothing wrong with being to careful especially these days.
